47th ASL Congress
29 September - 3 October 2008
Mandurah WA

Congress Bulletin 3

It's a great program!

The program for the ASL Congress in Mandurah has been finalised and (we have to modestly admit) IT'S GREAT. Your grey matter will be suitably stimulated and challenged by 90 oral presentations, 20 poster presentations and some great plenary speakers. Check it out for yourselves at: www.asl.org.au/congress/2008/program.htm

A big thank-you to all those who submitted abstracts and are busy writing papers on a diverse range of themes, including: climate change and environmental flows, ASS & acidity in aquatic ecosystems, management & monitoring, ecosystem science, stream health, Ramsar wetland ecology, native crayfish & invasive fish and other iconic limnological issues and topics.

So will we see you in Mandurah?

No. What a shame - our loss and yours!

Yes. Great, we will be in touch next week with some final details.

Not sure?  If you are working in environmental management, NRM policy development,  catchment management, regional planning or other related fields, then the ASL Congress will have some very valuable papers and contacts. We will take registrations until 26 September 2008. All the details on the website: www.asl.org.au/congress/2008/

Too busy - why not register for a day?

At $200 (inc. GST) for a full day registration, ASL hosts one of the best value scientific conferences around. Each day has particular themes and paper groupings in the concurrent sessions. Choose the day most applicable to you, get yourself registered and jump in the car (or on the train) and head to Mandurah!

We look forward to seeing you there.
