Social Activities

Registration Mixer

Registration for the 45th Congress will open at 5:00pm on Monday 25 September in the foyer at ACPAC. Look for the large “Registration” Banner. Come along early and get your bag of ‘goodies’.

Drinks and snacks will be provided at ACPAC from 7:00pm, this event is included in the registration fee.

Delegates are responsible for their own dinner arrangements, we will, however, provide a list of restaurants open on a Monday evening in Dean Street, Albury.


Postgraduate Mixer

Monday 25 September, 5:30 to 6:30pm, upstairs at the New Albury Hotel Motel (491 Kiewa Street , Albury). Come and register at ACPAC then it's a short stroll around the corner to the venue. Meet the current ASL Executive members over drinks and nibbles, then come back to ACPAC for the registration mixer.

Your student registration fee will automatically book you in for the postgraduate mixer.


BBQ

The traditional BBQ will be held at The Hanger (Student Association building) at La trobe University Campus on the evening of Tuesday 26 September. We will provide buses for those without transport. Please indicate on your registration form if you need transport to and from La Trobe University campus. Do NOT BYO alcohol as the student association will be providing beer, wine and softdrink.


Congress Dinner

The 2006 Annual Congress Dinner will be held on the evening of  Thursday 28 September at betty and muriel's of adamshurst (see www.bettyandmuriels.com.au ) located at 603 David Street , Albury. This venue is centrally located and within easy walking distance of city accommodation. An “Art-Science” exhibition will be on display at betty and muriel's for delegates to view during the evening.

Cost includes drinks, canapés and pre-dinner cocktails on arrival in the Ball Room and a two-course dinner served in the delightfully appointed Marquee (with heaps of entertainment).

Student Price: $45.00
Tickets are limited, so book early.


Albury

A mobile information booth displaying brochures and pamphlets of attractions around Albury-Wodonga, supplied by Destination Albury Wodonga, will be available in the foyer of ACPAC for the duration of the Congress.

A list of local restaurants will be available at registration. For further information on activities, entertainment, food and wine click on Albury Wodonga Australia

Staying in Albury-Wodonga at the end of the Congress?

The Albury Wodonga Region Wine and Food Festival will be held from Friday 29 September to Sunday 1 October. A celebration of wines and food of the region. Includes great events such as the “Fashions in Food” – wearable food parade. Details will be available at the Congress. Click on Albury Wodonga Australia or Walkabout Australia
